I started my first venture, the BankDealsBlog, in 2005. The focus of the blog was to help Dedicated Savers to find the best rates and deals on deposit accounts. As the blog grew, I partnered with a team to create the site DepositAccounts. That site was purchased by LendingTree in 2017. I then became a senior analyst at LendingTree while continuing the DepositAccounts blog.

For several years I was able to continue to be the primary writer of the DepositAccounts blog, writing on topics that Dedicated Savers have valued since 2005. When that was no longer possible, I decided to leave LendingTree in 2024.

Through DepositQuest I plan to return to writing content that’s valued by Dedicated Savers. I’ve partnered with Kent Jaminson, the owner of the DepositQuest Substack. Kent had been a long-time reader of the old DepositAccounts blog, and since 2024, he has done an excellent job publishing content in the spirit of the old blog.

I plan to contribute to the DepositQuest Substack with reviews on the latest deposit deals, banking issues and saving strategies.
